Taylor Made Rossa Fontana Putter
As part of the company’s core classic series, the Taylor Made Rossa Fontana putter continues the trend of taking an older style and adding the modern muscle to keep pace with technological upgrades.
The Fontana clubhead deserves to be called a classic, and has been a fixture on the professional tours for years. This version has more weight in the perimeter of the putter, giving an MOI that’s much higher than was available when the original Fontanas hit the course lo those many years ago. It also looks like something modern, cut from 304 stainless steel with a nickel finish and a white sightline that makes it easy to aim.
In addition, not every Fontana clubhead comes with the AGSI+ technology that Taylor Made provides. The AGSI stands for Anti-skid Groove System Insert, which incorporates 12 milled grooves to help the ball generate forward spin and reduce unwanted movement, whether it’s skidding or bouncing. That gets the ball off the clubface at a level roll, increasing the chance of success. The insert also dampens vibrations, increasing the feel and responsiveness.
As a result, Taylor Made has taken something old and made it into a club that’s worth checking out. With a proven style and the modern tricks to go with it, it’s hard to go wrong with the Taylor Made Rossa Fontana.
