Taylor Made Monte Carlo Putter Review
Taylor Made is one of the leaders in golf equipment, but is looking to branch out with a design that is both classic and modern, effective on the course and aesthetically pleasing in the bag. Enter designer Kia Ma, and the Taylor Made Monte Carlo putter.
Kia Ma is one of the best in the business, and some of his most striking work is on the Taylor Made Monte Carlo. The attention to detail is striking, with each millimeter of the surface smoothed to perfection. It’s finished in midnight black, with the red logo and the white sight-line standing out and making it easy to line up putts properly.
Of course, good looks don’t mean much if a golf club doesn’t do the job on the course, and the Taylor Made Monte Carlo is one of the best performers on the green. It’s milled from soft 1018 carbon steel, and its technology insert has 14 grooves to promote the desirable forward spin upon impact.
Moreover, the heel-toe weighting on the Taylor Made Monte Carlo gives it a greater MOI, leading to a more forgiving clubface that mitigates the effects of off-center hits. The result is a putter that both plays and looks like one of the best putters money can buy.
