The Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2.6 expands the old Newport franchise with a model that serves a different type of golfer than the older series of clubs.
It's similar to the rest of the Newport series in its basic construction. A 303 stainless steel head and factory interchangeable weights add the proper heft and balance to the stick, and since the weights can be customized at the factory based on shaft size and other preferences each golfer should find that it meets their needs.
However, in contrast to other models, the Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2.6 has a straight shaft and a zero-offset setup. There's a milled sight dot behind the shaft as well as the sight line in the flange, giving a consistent reference point at address. Since the shaft-over-spud-tip assembly has been positioned by the designers one shaft back from center, the club has a slightly thicker topline than the other models in the Studio Select Newport series.
