Scotty Cameron Red X3 Putter Review
Scotty Cameron is one of the biggest names in putters, and his Titleist Scotty Cameron Red X3 putter is one top model that should fit the needs of anyone looking for a reliable mallet putter.
The Scotty Cameron Red X3 Putter has a head made up of a solid block of stainless steel, with precise internal weighting designed to keep shots heading in the right direction. That weighting is concealed by the removable aluminum sole. While a golfer can’t change the weighting manually, since they are precision-milled, the company can customize those weights if desired.
It has a glare-resistant charcoal mist finish that avoids the need for sunglasses when staring down at the ball on the green, a little detail that means a lot in the summer months. A single sight line helps focus aim and avoids distraction. Moreover, the single-bend shaft is slightly offset to promote an ideal flow through the ball. It’s not as pronounced as the original Scotty Cameron Red X model, and it should help keep the clubface open at address and keep golfers from inadvertently pulling the ball.
The Scotty Cameron Red X3 Putter, like most of Cameron’s models, come with the standard 71-degree lie and four-degree loft. The suggested retail price is $300.
