Ping Redwood Piper Putter Review
The Ping Redwood Piper putter is one of the first Ping models to be constructed of milled stainless steel, with the result being a club that guides the ball towards the hole with no worries.
It features a traditional mallet design, with the Piper style that has long been a Ping staple. The head is nice and solid at 355 grams, and the club is set up with a half-shaft offset. In addition, the Ping Redwood Piper is a face-balanced model with clean sight lines and an anti-glare finish to help improve both aim and stability.
The result is a club that may look simple, but performs as well as anything on the market. Everything is geared towards inspiring confidence, with the ball popping off the clubface with enough speed and roll to allow a nice, easy stroke even from the edge of the green.
Lee Westwood is perhaps the most notable user of the Ping Redwood Piper, and he gave the model its initial experience at the Ryder Cup. It is available in both left and right-handed versions, and the suggested retail price is $249.
Ping putters are one of the most commonly used putters on the PGA Tour.
