Odyssey White Hot XG 330 Mallet Putter
The best things in life sometimes come in unassuming packages. That's the story behind the Odyssey White Hot XG 330 Mallet putter, which takes a traditional, unassuming clubhead and packs it with enough power and resiliency to stand up against anything else on the course.
The Odyssey White Hot XG 330 Mallet putter looks basic enough. It's a face-balanced mallet with a full-shaft offset and crank-neck hosel, and the sexiest thing about its appearance are the wide alignment stripes on the back cavity.
Inside the clubhead, however, is a different story The White Hot XB insert takes its inspiration from multi-layer golf ball technology, maximizing the responsiveness, feel, and control. It comprises of an elastomer core that's the most responsive the company has ever used attached to a thin but strong outer surface. The textured impact zone adds to the effect by clearly identifying the sweet spot, in case the alignment aids haven't done that already.
Compared to the more rambunctious-looking models in the Odyssey line, the Odyssey White Hot XG 330 Mallet putter may not look like anything special, but it plays that way. Just ask Cameron Beckman and Fredrik Jacobson, who use it on the PGA Tour.
